Fanime!!

Fanime this year was really different. This year I was selling prints with my sister and some of my friends, it was exciting since it was my first time selling at a convention!

We all really had a great time, met other artists, learned a lot and we sold surprizingly well :D That made me really happy. So, If anyone who bought our art reads this: Thank you for supporting my art (and my wallet =P) I love you all ><

I was really sad when it was over (and it was sooo fast O__O) I felt like we just arrived at fanime, and because we were selling we really didnt get to do stuff that much.

But even if we didn't go to a lot of panels and other things, just being there and around the "nerdy" people, I felt really happy and home. I always feel like I want to stay at Fanime forever ^^  This is one of the main reason why I love it soooooo much and I always look forward to it...We all come there...gather to be together and just enjoy what we love so much like a kind of family. No body cares if you are being stupid or what ever you can just really be comfortable. I am actually reeeaaallly shy but for Fanime I actualy went on stage 0 and danced stupidly (hell I cant dance! >.>) But it was fun and everyone laughed a lot (at me...and the otherones who took that terrible decision ^o^ ).

Original Lioness

Here is my project for Perspective (Joko's class)...Finally.
I can't believe there is no more deadline...Its all over. Anyway this project was one of the most fun assignments so far. It was fully up to us, the story, characters, concepts everything.

I chose to treat it as a game I'd love to make. Lioness Origin, happens prior to my comic "Lioness" and obviously its about the crisis that came with her birth. Since she was born in a world of mighty gods (a la god of war) she is hunted by those gods. Many want her dead, since she will end the reign of the gods (the child that was not supposed to be).

The story starts with my maincharacter Joringel waking up in this dark place only lit by a mysterious Lantern infront of him. He also finds a baby girl in his lap...Thats when he rememberes that he has been saved by the goddess Simbajike (his whole family/clan had been chassed and aparently killed by King Thoron). The goddess tells Joringel that there is still hope for him, to save his family but he has to accept her quest. Joringel has to bring the infant to the wretch (a witch) living far away, hidden on an island protected from gods.

Zakir!

The hunter again! He is from Leann's story "Shangrila". This piece was a colaboration which I first was very frustrated with, it just didn't turn out the way I expected or hoped it would untill we thought "lets try some crazy colors!" and it worked out...I am really happy with the result.

Delirium

Two piece work...Well I liked the mood of both the pieces so I decided I'd make both. I was listening to a song when I came up with this concept...Most work I do are born through music.
This piece is showing my Pandora, her inner turmoil. She betrayed the gods and payed a heavy price together with her father Hephaestus .

More of Joringel!

I did a more closeup version of Joringel sleeping...I wished I could spend all of my time on this project. I like the concept and the characters very much, it is not just some shallow work just done to satisfy an assignment. It is about a story I really care and love...I hope I'll be able to work more on it...

Some lines are too much, it makes it look a little blurry in some parts, I will work some more on it and update it once done...I always get too excited about work I like, and I want to put it on this blog immediately! I don't know if thats a good thing ^__^

Here is a closeup of Nyx, it is also more refined...For some reason I really want to eat this head!

Here comes dollface, it can only be summoned by one who made the pact. Creeping out of  the pit of tartarus it claims the lives of any being even gods.

She gave Joringel the baby and the Lantern (key to Nyx). She also was the one saved Joringel from greedy king Thoron, as he whiped out Joringels creator and siblings (as well as his beloved Jorinda).

It shows Joringel waking up, with a baby and a lantern, in this strange place. He then has a short flashback of the goddess who sent him here (she gave him the baby and the lantern.

Ayize and Freyas Soul

After Slaying Freya he takes her cloack to wich her soul has been attached with the mask. I really wanted to make this young god cool and evil. I thought it would be a good idea not to show his eyes but only that smile...The way he is holding the cloack and not that there is blood in his other hand adds to his viciousness. I really like this piece.

Poseidon Ruins

Ancient underground kingdom of Poseidon...It is abandoned now and full of dangers, don't look into the murky waters!

Lioness Origin-Ruins of Nyx

Here is my character Joringel (the nice effects are all added by Leann)), walking throught the ruins of Nyx kingdom. Her head is floating in an endless sea/sky of her blood. I really wished I had time to draw the stage with her body floating between ruins and also the entrance to the stage, the tree giant...Maybe later
